About RickyG.
RickyG is rooted in honest songwriting and lived experience, pulling from rock, country, and indie without leaning too hard on any one lane. The result is a sound that feels familiar, but never predictable. Just songs that reflect where life actually happens
Led by songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Ricky Greenspan, the music comes from real places like moments of doubt, love, loss, and figuring things out when nothing feels clear. And it’s about finding your way, clearing the obstacles, and chasing your dreams no matter when you may start… or may start again.
Ricky's path back to music wasn’t linear. After starting out as a drummer and lyricist in the Washington, D.C. scene, he stepped away for what seemed like a lifetime to build a career and family. Since he’s returned, it hasn’t been about chasing trends. It is about finishing something that never really left.

RickyG has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic, including shows in Dewey Beach and Lewes, Delaware, and Ocean City, Bethesda, and Silver Spring, Maryland.
“The Long Way Home” is the second album in the Ricky G catalogue. Released in January 2026, it features new songs that dive deeper into self-exploration of the common relationship and life experiences that shape who we are as people.
The Long Way Home also features remixes, alternate takes, and bonus tracks collected from RickyG’s first full album release, “We Still Need Rock & Roll” (2022), and other singles.

RickyG records are produced by a close-knit team of producers and amazing players to get it right in the studio and create the sound you hear today.
On stage, the Ricky G band brings energy and the live touch and texture that translates the songs with power and light. And sometimes we tone it down to an unplugged vibe when the setting and feeling is right.
