The Long Way Home is RickyG’s second full-length release, arriving in January 2026. It’s a record about perspective and what changes with time, and what doesn’t.

 

The album blends new material with selected remixes, alternate takes, and bonus tracks from earlier releases, including RickyG’s 2022 debut "We Still Need Rock & Roll." Together, they form a more complete picture of the project’s musical and personal evolution.

 

The newer songs dig deeper into themes that have always been present in RickyG’s work: relationships, identity, missed chances, second starts, and the quiet process of figuring out who you are. There’s a balance between reflection and forward motion; between letting go and holding on... or finding the balance of both.

 

The sound itself sits in that sweet spot between echoes of classic rock, mixed with the edge and openness of modern indie, and deepened with some country twang. Guitars that feel like they’ve got stories to tell. Hooks that come easy. And lyrics that speak to anyone who’s ever wondered if they waited too long. Or if maybe, just maybe, they’re right on time.
